A worldview is how you look at the world, how you think it operates, why things happen the way they do, what your purpose is. Another word for worldview is paradigm.
“The more aware we are of our basic paradigms...or assumptions, and the extent to which we have been influenced by our experience, the more we can take responsibility for those paradigms, examine them, test them against reality, listen to others and be open to their perceptions, thereby getting a larger picture and a far more objective view.”
Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
“What’s most important is that you gain...an understanding of history, experience in some of the classics, and an acquaintance with worldviews and world religions. These are the most critical things to learn in order to develop the depth of understanding necessary to become the empathic leader you need to be.”
